Smooth backend development

We engaged The Tidewinds Group for some backend development work earlier this year. The initial consultation was free, which was helpful for outlining our needs. They provided a detailed project quote within a week. The communication during the development phase was pretty consistent, with weekly updates. The quality assurance testing identified a few minor issues, but these were resolved quickly. The final delivery was slightly past the original estimate, by about three days, but the system is robust and performing well. Integration with our existing frontend went smoothly enough. It was a solid experience overall for a pretty complex system.

Great full stack dev project!

Needed full stack development for a new internal tool. The Tidewinds Group totally knocked it out of the park! The new system works perfectly, exactly what we wanted. Super happy with their work!

Always reliable for custom work

This is our third project with Tidewinds, this time for mobile app development. Consistency is key with these larger projects, and they delivered again. Similar to previous times, their team quickly grasped our requirements. The initial technical discovery phase was thorough, just like before. The project stayed on budget and the communication was good. We keep coming back because we know what to expect.

thinking about getting a custom CRM. do they offer support after the project is done, or am I on my own?

E Elena 1 month ago
They definitely offer ongoing support. It's usually part of the agreement for enterprise software.

Pretty sure they have software maintenance as a service. You wouldn't want a custom CRM without someone to keep it running.

do they ever have like, promo codes or anything? trying to see if i can save a few bucks on a web app.

N Nina 3 weeks ago
Nah, they don't do coupon codes. It's not that kind of business.

M Megan 2 weeks ago
Forget promo codes. You're better off trying to negotiate a deal directly, especially if it's a bigger project or long-term engagement. They sometimes do free consultations though.

anyone used these guys for cloud migration? wondering if they're any good compared to like, Accenture.

N Nina Silva 3 weeks ago
I've heard good things, but Accenture is a massive beast. Russ might be more agile for some projects, and probably a different price point too.

D Daisy Romero 3 weeks ago
Definitely worth getting a quote from both. Russ seems pretty solid for custom stuff, but Accenture has a huge footprint. Depends on what you value more in a partner.

what industries do they usually work with? curious if they have experience in my field.

M Marcus Patel 3 weeks ago
They work across various industries, from what I gather, given they do 'enterprise software solutions'. It's pretty broad.

J Julia 2 weeks ago
They haven't really said specific industries, but for 'custom software development' and 'business process automation' you could imagine they'd cater to pretty much any business needing that. Just ask them directly.

hey, anyone know if they do like, smaller projects? or is it all huge enterprise stuff only?

D Dan 1 month ago
From what I've seen, they definitely do big enterprise projects. Their website mentions things like 'legacy system modernization' and 'digital transformation'.

G Greg 1 month ago
Yeah, I think they focus on larger scale solutions. probably best to just hit them up for a quote to see if your project fits.

so how do you even get a price from these guys? is it like, per hour, or a set price for the whole thing?

S Sam 1 month ago
They typically do custom quotes, so it's not a one-size-fits-all. They'll probably want to know all the details of your project first.
2
F Faith 1 month ago
It can be either, depends on the project scope really. I'd expect a mix of both or they'll suggest what works best after a technical discovery phase.

any chance for a discount if I commit to like, a yearly contract for maintenance or something?

G Gwen F. 1 month ago
Totally possible. They mention 'annual contract discount' and 'volume pricing' in their deal patterns. You'd have to negotiate it though.

I Ivy 1 month ago
That's exactly the kind of thing you'd talk to them about. They don't do coupons, but long-term commitments are where you'd see savings.

i'm looking to get a new mobile app developed. how long does something like that usually take with Russ?

C Chris 1 month ago
That really depends on the complexity. Could be months. They have a whole 'technical discovery phase' which adds time upfront.
4
P Phil Patel 1 month ago
Mobile app development is usually a few months minimum, sometimes longer if it's super custom. Best to ask them directly during a demo request.
